Angelo J.Biviano, 97 of Rutherford since 1969, passed away after a wonderful life on Monday, July 18th, 2016. He was born in Jersey City to immigrant parents John and Jennie Biviano of Lipari, Italy. Angelo was part of the first graduating class of Ferris HS. He was an extraordinary athlete who played all sports. He was all Hudson County and All State honorable mention for
short stop and third base positions.
Angelo was a proud career Army Veteran. He enlisted in 1940 and retired in 1978. He was stationed in U.S. and in Okinawa during WWII and later served as Captain and Commander of the Nike Missile base in Summit, NJ during the cold war. He was a natural linguist able to communicate in most languages and fluent in any Romance language including dialects.
Angelo was a member of the Old Guard of Rutherford and the Rutherford Chapter of Unico.

Angelo is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Irene (nee Shappek), his devoted children Lane, an attorney in Rutherford, James an RN in
Louisville, Ky, , Eva HR Director in Red Bank and his beautiful granddaughter Jade Holder and husband Seth in Las Vegas, Nevada along with many nieces, nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Frank and Barney of Jersey City and John of Nutley and Monroe.
Family will receive friends Friday, July 22nd in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
Funeral Monday July 25th, meeting at 1:00pm for a 1:30pm Service in the Chapel of BG William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
