Warren Schiff, 57, of Rutherford passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, November 18th, 2016 after battling a long illness. Born to the late Robert & Viola (nee Bender) Schiff in Jersey City. Warren graduated from St. Peter’s Prep. & Jersey City State College in Media Arts in 1982. He was very proud of his involvement with the cable show, Mad-TV.
Warren met Josephine (nee Gilliard), the love of his life; they were married for over 28 years. He then worked at USA Network as an Associate Director from 1984 to 1987, and ABC television (Broadcast Operations) from 1988 to 2015, including ABC Sports as Associate Director for College Football and other Sporting events. He created slow pitch softball leagues & umpired in Hudson County.
In the 1970’s 80’s Warren held an amateur license to bobsled at the Olympic run at Lake Placid. He also attended the Miracle on Ice game in 1980. Warren won numerous trophies for his sports car driving in Autocross & Hillclimbs. He was a member of the Sports Car Club of America, Jersey Sports Car Club & Hillclimb Club. He was a life long visitor to Lake Placid, where his favorite activity was to fly down the Toboggan Slide onto Mirror Lake and Cape Cod, where he loved to bike on the Rail Trail. Warren was a devoted & frustrated fan of the NY Jets & the NY Islanders.
Warren will be deeply missed by his loving wife Josephine , his son Nicholas and his sister Ora Schiff.

Family will receive friends Tuesday 2pm to 7pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford.
