There are so many wonderful stories with Lester, from singing along with the Clancy Brothers to fixing the electrical system in a car in which someone had replaced the original color-coded wiring with all red wire. But the most memorable was when I was still a student and was standing in his backyard, and Pamela suddenly threw a bucket of water out of the second floor window aimed right at us. She missed and he laughed.

Dear Diane, Nicola, Andrew, Stephanie, Douglas, and Jennifer, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved father. Prof. Ferguson was truly a gentleman and a great scholar. He was kind, generous, and supportive of many junior faculty colleagues at Fairleigh Dickinson University, including me when I first started at the University. I remember Prof. Ferguson proudly talked about Douglas working as a physicist in France. My colleagues and I will miss him dearly.
