Dear Lawlor Family, I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. At such a time, many need to hear something of comfort. One comforting thought can be found at Revelation 21:4, which says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Isn't that comforting to know that God is going to take away all things that bring tears to our eyes. I an blessed to have so many beautiful memories of my Aunt Pat that it is too difficult to choose one.Aunt Pat was not a blood relative but my aunt by choice. she and Uncle Richie are an integral part of my childhood memories. My parents and Pat and Richie met when they were young married couples with small children.My earliest memories begin at the age of 5. They were always present at important family events as well as impromptu get togethers. My fondest memories are lazy summer days sunbathing and frollicking on the beach at the Jersey Shore and treks up to the boardwalk in Pt. Pleasant on cool summer nights,weekend long visits to my parent's home where the laughter didn't end until the wee hours of the morning.Crabbing, fishing, bbqs and birthday parties, christenings, communions and costume parties on halloween, just to name a few!I remember Uncle Richie trying to teach her how to drive in a horse corral in our back yard....YIKES!!! I can taste her Sunday pot of spaghetti sauce and meatballs,teaching me how to make piccadillo, and arroz con pollo.Singing her heart out to a song on the radio (We had joy we had fun we had seasons in the sun)that made her cry.Aunt Pat had a beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eye. She had a great sense of humor and could curse like a sailor ;).She loved practical jokes, even if she was the butt of them. She simply loved to laugh, and boy what a laugh! She was quick to offer you a kiss and a hug, and her smile reached her eyes and could light up a room. She adored Uncle Richie who was the light of her life, and was a devoted mother who loved her children unconditionally. Her sisters were truly her best friends.It was simply impossible to know her and not love her.
