Paula Gomez, 19, of East Rutherford passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 7th, 2017. She was born on May 10th, 1998 to Mauricio Gomez Melo and Martha Rosa Duran Ramirez in Columbia. Paula was a 2017 graduate of the Sage Day School in Rochelle Park, NJ. While in High School she was a cheerleader. Paula loved music, played the guitar and piano. She was also a dancer and artist. Paula was very kind, a volunteer for individuals in the Special Education program at The ARC of Bergen and Passaic in Hackensack. She was preparing to attend college.
Paula was deeply loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her devoted parents, Mauricio Gomez Melo and Martha Duran Ramirez.

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9pm in The Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford.
Funeral Wednesday ~ All asked to gather for 10:45am Mass of Christian Liturgy in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 120 Hoboken Road, East Rutherford. followed by cremation in East Ridgelawn Crematory Chapel, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton.
